Futuristic Marine Research Center Inspired Through Waves by Solus4
A marine research center in Bali, Indonesia is going to be build, and recently there is an international design competition that was held to make it come true. This one is from Solus4 Design firm which has a concept to address the need for tsunami research and preparation in response to the natural disaster that caused Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami in 2004. What they did is that they architecturally make a concept of a friendly marine research center where it will stand on 2,500 square meters of land where scientists can study, conduct research and interpret on the tsunami waves. The organically shaped building will be reflected by the wave’s elevation
The building center will features underwater labs, scientist bedrooms and an aquatic garden, swimming pool terrace, sea water pool (which we think that it will be better if it was just fresh water pool), bar and auditorium to conduct press conferences and teaching program, private and public spaces and water tanks to collect rain water. Futuristic design it is indeed, but the question will be how will it stand in the ocean? Will it be strong enough? Do you think it’s ambitious? Well, let’s just see the outcomes, after all it’s just a nicely done concept.
