Panasonic BD-RE XL 100 GB: The first rewritable Blu-ray Disc
It is now not just CD or DVD type of disk which can be rewritable. High quality Blu ray disc can now be rewritable too. As we know 100GB capacity Blu-ray disc has been present since quite a long time . This innovation has made Panasonic to be the first manufacturer to release rewritable Blu-ray discs, yes it can be used for many times just like other rewritable DVD or CD.
This will enable us to save a quite amount of money regarding its more expensive price compared to other type of rewritable CD. This makes it as an alternative external storage device, imagine with 10 pieces of the CD means you have 1TB storage capacity device. Despite that it is also hoped that the disc have a much endurance compared to the normal disc.
Panasonic BD-RE XL 100 GB will go on sale 15 April with the price of 10,000 yen.
