Horizon MiniPak Microhidrogen Charger: Innovative Portable Charger with Hydrogen Materials

Be prepared to say good-bye to the conventional way of recharging. A hydrogen-based charger will soon make its innovative presence in the world of recharging. Horizon MiniPak microhidrogen Charger is a charger with hydrogen basis which claimed to supply power ten times than the traditional batteries. The shape is tiny, only at the size of an adult palm. The advantages of  this charger is that it can be used to recharge any USB port, ranging from digital cameras, smartphones, up to all kinds of gadgets. In the package, consumers will get the three parts, the charger, hydroSTIK cartridge, and the variety USB plug.

HydroSTIK is a AA battery-shaped cartridge that contains hydrogen. Users only need to enter hydroSTIK into the charger and connect the USB cable to the device needs to be recharged. This charger works like a power plant. It converts hydrogen into electricity, drawing oxygen from the surrounding air and release the hydrogen stored in the hydroSTIK at the same time. Electrochemical reactions that occur to create electric power will be released in gaseous form. When the  hydrogen contained in hydroSTIK finished, users can do the recharging activities. Unfortunately, charging stations are not yet available in the near future.

MiniPak have some advantages like ease of use because it does not depend on the temporarily available natural energy like sun, or wind. Speaking of “environmentally friendly”, hydroSTIK made of nickel and aluminum (unlike ordinary batteries containing dangerous particles which may cause an explosion) which make it easy to be discarded or recharged.

Even so, this charger also has some disadvantages, such as the position while recharging should remain upright and the price is less economical (one set MiniPak priced U.S. $ 99, with the price of the hydroSTIK at U.S. $ 9). Charger is planned to be sold in the market later this year. interested in this future electric power like this one?
